Huge Success

The Lincoln Branch 6th Annual Sportsmen’s Night was a huge success.  A huge thanks to all of you that joined us at the Pla Mor Ballroom.  With 300 people in attendance and 51 guns going out the door, it was a fun filled evening. A special THANK YOU for coming out and supporting us in such a big way. It was great to see more kids in attendance this year.  They are the future that will keep our traditions and heritage going so please keep bringing them.

As you know, this annual event is how we raise money to do conservation and other types of projects in the surrounding area of Lincoln.  Examples of past projects include food plots at Wagon Train Lake SRA and Conestoga Lake SRA.  Not to mention, the shade canopy over the outdoor archery range at the Outdoor Education Center, donating to the Hunters Helping the Hungry program, donating to the Jerky for the Troops program and the Nebraska Sportsmen’s Foundation.

2020 Projects in the Works

For 2020, we will re-work the food plots at both Wagon Train and Conestoga. As well as, starting a new food plot project at a location to be determined.  We’re also setting up Pawnee SRA with an enclosed box blind that will be handicap accessible.  We have a list of other projects that we will be looking into for the remainder of the year.  Thank you Lincoln!

We were scheduled to have a Brews and Food event at the Prairie Bowmen Archery Club on April 15th.  Due to the COVID-19 crisis we made the decision to postpone this event. We will keep you posted with a new date so you can come learn more about what we strive to do. And of course, how you can either join us as a member or volunteer to take part in what we do.

Join Us For Our Monthly Socials

You can also join up with us at any of our monthly socials.  Those are held on the second Wednesday of each month and you can find more info for those events on our Facebook page.  The socials are meant for planning our projects and banquets, discussing new ideas moving forward and really, just talking about hunting with like-minded people.

We’d also like to say THANK YOU to all of our sponsors and donors who made the banquet possible this year.  There are way too many to list here but we are very appreciative of your continued support and making it possible to hold such a great annual event.  Thank you all!
