The BGCA had a fun event for National Shooting Sports Month at the Roger G Sykes Outdoor Heritage Complex at Platte River State Park. We sponsored this event for new and old shooters. Of course, we want them to experience what it’s like to just have fun and try something new. There were families of all ages 6 and up participating in this fun event. They had their choice of pellet gun, rifle or archery range. The most popular was the pellet gun range.
It was a hot day but the facility had plenty of shade and refreshments available for guests to enjoy. This was our second year and we had about 75 people take part in the fun. National Shooting Sports Month was a success for us as we were able to get new shooters outdoors and had fun doing it.
