Youth Hunter Education Challenge A Huge Success
During this time of year most of our members and supporters are taking to the field in pursuit of big game. We sincerely hope that you had a successful time in the field.
The BGCA was grateful to again donate prizes and help out with the NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge. This event was held at Platte River State Park on October 13th. There were 15 kids that have been successful in completing their hunter education requirements and participated. Of course they were able to put their skills to the test and show what they have learned. Events are designed to demonstrate the skills they have learned. From knowing how to climb a tree stand safely with proper equipment to orienteering and blood trailing. In addition they show proper gun handling and operation of firearms. The winners can go on to compete in the national event held at the NRA headquarters.
Banquet Season is Upon Us
Our members are working hard and getting stuff ready for upcoming banquets. We want to make sure the attendees have a great time. That means they are getting donation items and prizes ready for you to win. You can find the banquet information in the newsletter and decide which one you would like to attend. The tables sell out fast so do not wait to get one.
Once again we hope that you found great success in the field this year. We hope that you are safe in the field and enjoy all the outdoors has to offer wherever you shall spend it. Thank you again for your support of the Big Game Conservation Association.
Happy Hunting!
