Food Plot Projects

Food Plot Projects

The Lincoln Branch has been preparing their annual food plot projects for both maintenance and establishing new projects.  The Wagon Train SRA has had one mowing so far in 2020 and is looking phenomenal.  The existing Conestoga SRA plot will be replanted this coming August. This should allow it some great growth right before archery season starts.

In addition, the new food plot project area for 2020 will be at Wildwood WMA. This WMA is located west of Hwy 79 between Raymond and Valparaiso Nebraska.  The food plot project will be split into two separate plots. Both will be located on the east side of the property.  We will share the exact location once it’s planted in August.

Other Contributions

Lincoln has also made monetary donations to the Jerky for Troops program, the Nebraska Sportsmen’s Foundation and we donated a handicap accessible hunting blind to the staff at Pawnee SRA.

With the covid shut down that we have all been dealing with, we are happy to finally have our Brews and Food event rescheduled. It will take place on July 8th at the Prairie Bowmen Archery Club’s new indoor facility.  They are located at 1432 N Cotner Blvd, Lincoln NE and the event will start at 6:30pm.  It will be an evening of food and beverage and a way for us to share what it is that we do as a non-profit organization. If you have a desire to be more involved with conservation projects, youth in the outdoors activities, or maybe you’re just wanting to find like-minded men and women of your community to share your love of the outdoors. Then we welcome you to attend this event.  We’d love to meet you!!

At this time, we are also gearing up for the 7th Annual Sportsmen’s Night to be held at the Pla Mor Ballroom on January 9, 2021.
